Cllr. Diane Guy, secretary of Disley Friends of Cancer Research UK was presented with a donation of £279.85 by Jane Hulme of the Ram’s Head, Disley.
Jane raised the money by serving delicious hot mulled wine in the Ram’s Head on the evening of the Christmas Tree Lights switch on in Disley and people were invited to make a donation.
Cllr. Guy said that she was delighted to accept the donation and that it had been a very good week for the charity’s fundraising in Disley. A Christmas Fair coffee morning at Disley Community Centre the previous week had raised over £1,000.
