PARISH PLAN UPDATE

The survey of residents’ ideas on improvements to Disley village has now been completed and the results will form the basis of the draft Parish Plan which will be sent out for consultation later this year. The response rate was nearly 40% which is very high for a survey of this nature and gives a firm mandate for future draft proposals.
As an incentive to return the form all completed surveys were entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning £100. The draw for this was made at the Disley and Lyme Horticultural Society annual show last Saturday by the Show’s opener, Stockport Councillor for High Lane, Chris Baker. The lucky winner was Derek Hanson, shown here receiving the award.
